And then he stared some more, long enough for the water to grow cold around him, wondering if this was part of the dream. Finally he decided that it had to be real only because his subconscious was not creative enough to come up with this.
There, in freckle-brown letters stark against pale skin, was the name Jackson Whittemore.

12/26/21 - Jackson comes back after Stiles tells him to check is soulmate mark. ______________ Wow, really impressed with the storyline and the depth of the characters. Definitely a good one to read again. 8/7/23 - so well done. 7/4/26

Summary
He catches Derek by the arm and Derek lets himself be turned, surprised when Stiles shoves a small box into his hands. “I don’t know if you still celebrate it or what but… I wanted you to know someone was thinking about you. Happy birthday.”
Then he squeezes Derek’s arm and bolts, gone before Derek can think to stop him.
He opens the box standing there, only to find one singular, misshapen, sloppily-frosted, cupcake, with a candle in the box next to it. It’s kind of squished despite the paper towel all around it to keep it from banging around in the box.
Derek has to take a moment to sit down because yeah, he can’t deny it anymore.
He’s gone on Stiles.

11/28/21 - Derek pining for Stiles. Stiles gives Derek a cupcake on his Christmas birthday. ___________ Beautiful and sweet. Update: yep, still enjoy reading it. 8/7/23 - still sweet, and gentle compared to other stories bookmarked. 7/3/26 - yeah, reads more like a teen romance almost.

7/7/24 - immensely satisfying story. It’s got action, adventure, thrill, intrigue, love and family feels. Awesome pack and family building story. The Sheriff is really good as well as Peter’s part in the story. Stiles is phenomenal. Totally BAMF, but with vulnerability, empathy, love, and vicious protectiveness. Really enjoyed his abilities. 2/28/25 - the epilogue ties everything up quite nicely. Still a very good read. 2/24/26 - yeah, really good still. 7/2/26 - and again.

Summary
When Stiles comes across a rogue Alpha during his first year at Berkeley, the ensuing fight doesn't exactly go his way. He calls an unlikely ally to help him with his transition, and finds out his new pack isn't quite who he might have thought it would be.
Stiles is now left with the task of trying to figure out how his old life will fit in with his new, but that is not without its challenges.

9/4/21 - There’s definitely angst in this, but lots of fluff to balance it out. It’s a good raining day pep up story. 9/17/23 - it really is mostly fluffy and hurt comfort. Still a good read. 6/29/26 - wow, that’s a whole lot of fluff strewn through out. Little bits of humor as well.
