Everyday the ocean attempts to drag him under the surface, to drag him down into the darkest depth to never be seen again. His head is always filled with a crashing storm—he can never be quite sure which way the waves are going to tip him.
There are only a few more hours until dark, and Izuku toils them away on pointless homework that will disappear mysteriously, and making up for the lunch that had met an unceremonious fate on the cafeteria floor. Izuku waits for the dark with an eagerness he reserves for few things—because when the sun sets he can finally, finally, shed the burden of himself and become someone so much more alive.He takes a deep, shuddering breath and slowly the swirling rapids of his thoughts slow.
They slow until he’s no longer at risk of drowning.
They slow until they ebb and flow like the calm night tide, brushing against him like he’s the smallest, most insignificant grain of sand.
He is nothing, in that moment. He’s invisible, untouchable; nonexistent.
He’s standing on the precipice, so he tips forward—And the next moment, he is everything.

Summary
[A short segment from an AU I think about way too much, and the moment Izuku gets to give the UA Sports Festival instead of, ya know, Bakugou.]
Izuku knows that this is his one chance—maybe ever—to say what he’s always wanted to, with an audience that can’t look away, can’t ignore him—not now. He can feel the telltale sting in his eyes that threatens tears, but he won’t break. He will say the words that he has always wanted to hear, so that if they can reach even one person, it will not have been for nothing.

Goro angles his head up and moves in close till their foreheads are pressed together and all Akira can see is the brown of Goro's eyes, the honey sheen his hair takes on as it falls around them like a curtain.
"How about this," Goro says softly, "I'll put your collar on and we can get dinner in the kitchen."
"Okay," Akira says, and Goro's hair puffs away at the air of his breath.

Well. Ren is pretty sure it was the Black Mask who said the words, not him, but he still kind of ends up nodding, but also shrugging because what the fuck.
Soulmarks are found on everyone’s left arm; the first words your soulmate will say to you.
Usually, this would make meeting your soulmate a relatively easy task.
Ren doesn’t have that kind of luck.

Summary
Shaking, Ghost lifted both hands and gestured downwards to sign the most simplistic form of begging he’d ever willingly given.
“Stay?”
Soap regarded him carefully, and Ghost knew that he was read like an open book now. With no mask to hide behind his face was marred by whatever fleeting emotion passed through his head and heart in tandem. He could hide nothing like this, and it was terrifying. He slept soundly with his mask for this very reason, and Soap just watched all the while.
He was deciding if it was worth it.
The olive branch held across the ravine that divided their lives- the opening he’d been asked to give. A promise to try.
“Can I hold you?” was a hushed challenge to test the newfound boundaries between them as Soap’s hand hovered near the door.

The aftermath and recovery of torture as Soap fished out one [1] resident stupid from the river like a half-drowned cat.
Ghost is a broken man. Soap might bloody his hands on the jagged pieces, but he puts Simon back together again at the end of the day.Series
