Absolutely phenomenal story, not the normal "swap two characters who follow the same arc" but instead it really digs into some ideas of how Vaggie and Lute are fundamentally different people. Who see events different, who perceive others differently, and thus react very differently. It does not rush anything, giving the characters and the environment the room to breath that they deserve. It is 84,047 words long as of this bookmark and the pacing feels just incredibly well done. Nothing feels rushed or dragged out.
A must read I will say for anyone who wants to see an interesting exploration of what it means to be "In Hell" without needlessly disparaging either side or promoting preconceived notions that are not largely present in the show. This is not the biblical Hell but neither is it a place for the misunderstood. Everyone here earned their place in some way, but as Charlie says there is always a need to promote a second chance.
To use a quote from Sandman, "What is Hell without the Dream of Heaven?"
Precious Like Starlight is going to be a great story and I heavily suggest people giving it a chance.
