Summary
Steady, Zoro thought. Steady, steady, be steady. Be still and strong and solid- release your breath. Now inhale.
Up his shins, his fingertips, the curve of his spine. The reliable bones of his shoulders, his knees. One last swallow of air, his throat bobbing.“Until next time, sir Roronoa.” Sanji whispered. Blue eyes leading Zoro into the calm of unknown. Sad eyes.
“Until next time, my prince.” And then his lips froze, and then his eyes, and then-

Summary
He gives the ocean midnight gifts of violet, cobalt, and periwinkle. He watches moonlit peonies float and then sink, surrounded by the haunting of single daisies. Gardenias stare accusingly up at him, and he wishes he could save them, place them on a table, but what excuse could he give for finding flowers in the middle of the ocean? He lingers over the delicate lilacs, the tiny sweetpeas. He keeps a single forget-me-not in his pocket.
Beautiful, he thinks as he gathers his nightly bouquets. Beautiful, he thinks as he pants heavily, kneeling on the tiled floor. It hurts, but he cannot fault beauty for being beauty.
He can only fault himself for wanting love from a loveless family.Bookmarked by CassiaCat

Zoro remembered – the frantic sound of his voice, the gunfire-rapid thump of his heartbeat, the wild, animal terror in his eyes.
Let him go, he’d told Kuma, trembling with the pain of standing on a shattered leg. Take me instead.
Hell of a side effect, Zoro thought, before passing out.Bookmarked by CassiaCat

Summary
“Zoro,” Sanji breathes, shaking Zoro and wincing at the pained grunt he gets in response. “At least let me know you’re alive.”
There’s a beat, a long agonising beat, and then Zoro groans. “Fuck off, Cook.”
Sanji can’t stop his relieved laugh.
Or, nothing is worse than waking up to find oneself stuck in an impenetrable absolute-justice cell.
