Summary
Set during the events of the Harry Potter series, (the Golden Trio Era) Severus Snape remains tortured by his own guilt and self-loathing. To interrupt his brooding and to add to his parchment roll length list of grievances, an American protege of Nicolas Flamel takes the position of professor of the History of Magic, and she is part of joint collaborative effort to protect the Philosopher's Stone. And that means: Team Work.
An American transplant, dropped into Wizarding Britain with little time to prepare for her role, Rhiannon Benning considers herself ordinary. Not only is moving to a whole continent a task in and of itself, having to work with Severus Snape was not in her job description. He is an severe, infuriating, and oftentimes, just plain rude, and all she wants to do is get the job done. She is little prepared for the year to come. 1991 will be full of surprises for both this Potions Master and this woman from across the pond.
Healing through connection is possible, and perhaps two people who seem so different on the surface have more in common than they would ever realize.

Summary

Summary
Twelve years after the horrible experience in her father’s bookshop, muggle Katherine Shepard is back home to start anew. However, a visit from a tall, miserable stranger sends her into a world she never knew existed, changing her future forever. As the dark potions master tries to grapple with the woman he’s been forced to protect as well as living a life of a double-agent, his own worldview begins to change and as he continues with his plan to protect the world against the Dark Lord and begins to acknowledge the feelings that are starting to grow for a certain annoying muggle, Severus begins to wonder if he might just deserve a happy ending after all.
