Summary

Summary
BFFs Takeru Takaishi and Hikario Yagami haven't seen or contacted each other since they graduated from High School and went off to different Universities. After graduating University, Takeru has a job in retail and is a member of a local band playing keyboard. He's just moved into a new apartment, and the first new neighbor he meets is... Hikari.
However, Hikari is no longer the same girl he remembers. Once dreaming of becoming a schoolteacher as she loves kids, Hikari now works as a fitness instructor at a local fitness center, but that's the tamest change - she dyed her hair blue, she wears skimpy or provocative outfits in and out of the gym, and she sports tattoos that reflect "ownership" of herself. All of this is due to her one client at her job: an American named Derek. Hikari also views Takeru as a "beta," the kind of person she and Derek view as "weak."
Shaken up by Hikari's changes, Takeru resolves to watch himself around Hikari, and watch and wait to see if there's some way of either getting back the Hikari he remembers, or at least freeing her from Derek's poisonous control.
