Summary
Valentino knows exactly how to get under Vox's skin.
He knows he should turn away, shut off the recordings, and bury himself in his work, but Vox can't tear his eyes away from the spectacle before him. The sight of Val being used and discarded like one of his cheap whores fills him with sickening jealousy.
"He's pathetic," he mutters to himself. "But he's still fucking mine."
He knows he needs to retain control to resist the urge to lash out in anger. This is exactly what Val wants—provocations designed to rile him up and force a reaction.
"Mr. Valentino is back, sir. I thought you would want to know."
It's a good thing Vox knows exactly how to deal with Valentino as well.
