Summary
They escaped Spain, but only just barely. By the end of those somehow only two nights, it was only because the three of them; Leon, Ashley, and Luis, had taken turns carrying each other out. But they were out. And Ashley was saved. And… now no one knows what to do with the other two remaining survivors. With Leon compromised and Luis’s knowledge too valuable to lose, they’ve been shoved off, buried in a cabin somewhere, partially by sway of an especially thankful and powerful parent, assigned the very loose task to serve on standby: one to study bioweapon outbreaks and the other to serve detail should either need ever arrive. But the problem is, nestled in that little cabin tucked in the mountains, is that the need has yet arrive. A Leon/Luis domestic slow burn.

He pouted as she readjusted his arm around her shoulders, "Man, I wish I b’longed to the governmen’ like the other guys, maybe then I’d get some vacation days."
Claire frowned in confusion, "Like the other guys?"
"Mhm.” he nodded, in that way-too-deep drunk way, “If they fuck up, they jus’ get fired. If I fuck up enough times they'll jus’ kill me I think."
