“What is a ‘field trip’?”
The unexpected question makes me stop in my tracks. I stumble over my own two feet and almost bite my own tongue which is a new low, even for me. If I keep going like this I am never going to beat the clumsy human allegations. At least Rocky is not here. If he’d witnessed my latest embarrassing blunder he would have found ways to tease me about it for a week straight. It’s unfortunate that my class has to see me like this but they are a lot more forgiving and understanding of their ungraceful teacher than my best friend. A fact I like to hold over his head from time to time.
Not that he cares. He maintains that he’s earned the right to mock me as much as he likes after having to watch me stumble and fall repeatedly over the same threshold for four years.
And maybe he’s not wrong.
Don’t ever tell him I said that.

There is no way Grace can take the pebbles on a field trip. At least not without help.

Summary
After Drake Industries takes a big hit, Jack and Janet Drake send their son to stay with Bruce Wayne. They assume that he will understand that they are trying to sell Tim to him in exchange for him helping their company. Bruce mistakes the Drakes constant insinuations of comparing Tim to Dick and Jason as them possibly wanting Bruce to adopt Tim. Tim knows everything that is going on, and does not want his whole life to fall apart when Bruce eventually realizes that his parents were trying to pimp him out, so he stays quiet. But after bonding with Jason and Dick, he finds it hard to convince himself that his parents are worth it.

Summary
"How many have we lost this time?" Heero asks as Wufei stands in the doorway.
That Wufei hesitates before telling him isn't a good sign, but before Heero has to ask him again, he says, "Thirty-five dead. Another twenty are seriously wounded. At least seven are not expected to make it through the night."
Heero had sent a hundred soldiers after the Eltoo menace that is known only as Shinigami, and this was the result. "How large was his force?" he demands, clenching his hands.
Wufei's posture somehow becomes even more correct. "Reports say it was just him."
"Gather my generals," Heero tells him. "If I have to send a thousand to capture him, I will. And I do mean capture, Wufei. I want him alive."
Bowing, Wufei says, "Of course, Your Majesty."
Heero is going to make that barbarian regret ever raising a hand against Heero's troops.
When the captured Shinigami is revealed to be an omega, all of Heero's plans change.
