"That's an order. Plus this guy is no threat. Without his brother here to save or defend him- I'm sure he'll be as cooperative as a trained dog." Bowser grinned, leaning down so he could hover over the man who was lying down on the stone floor, small puffs of air leaving his slightly parted lips. "If he becomes a nuisance or I simply grow bored, I'll kill him."
Kamek nodded. "As you wish, sire." In a poof of sparkly smoke, he was gone.
"So, greenie. It looks like it's just the two of us."

Summary
Gaz and Soap love conspiracy theories. You'll walk into the common room and hear them talking about a new one every day, but one day they bring up The Riley Family Murders. This one doesn't last a day. Partially because Soap and Gaz can't let it go until they get every piece of information on it they can find, even if they have to break into the military's file room to get them. And Ghost... Ghost can't get enough of it. He finds their fascination amusing, and he decides to fuck with them about it. Ghost has never entertained their conspiracy talk before, but Soap and Gaz choose not to question it. The more they learn though, the closer they get to know who Simon Riley is, the closer danger becomes for Ghost.
Roba is supposed to be dead, but so is Simon Riley.

Guillermo wonders how many times relentless Nandor has had to settle for dishonorable defense when you can see so sharp in his face, even now, that he’s been irrevocably built to strike first and annihilate on sight. He pictures Nandor retreating — not strategically, desperately —, up at night as he counts his losses, picking words out of a very small roster to toss at his troops and hoping anything sticks enough for the rest to make it home. It’s the sin he allows himself. A small one for now, Guillermo bargains. The one God lets you omit in favor of being very thorough with your words on the more significant infractions.

Guillermo did not mean to burn the moment War Machine walked into the New York Department of Powered Beings offices into his mind, but it was kind of hard not to. War Machine wasn’t officially known as War Machine, the nickname was considered kind of rude, but “The Swordsman” didn’t quite capture the raw terror he inspired in the general population.
Nandor is a superhero of questionable morals, age, and ability to limit collateral damage, and Guillermo is a bureaucrat who really likes his job.
