Summary
Actions have consequences, even simple actions like what goes up must come down. While most people reach that conclusion by adulthood, not everyone manages, or manages to the full extent. Eventually though, with enough kitchen sinks stolen and placed where they don’t belong, and other actual crimes committed, people’s time runs out on the opportunity to learn naturally and the issue gets forced by others around them.
Unfortunately for Regulus, eighteen years after he last spoke to his brother happens to be when he learns that Sirius still hasn’t learned that consequences exist. Equally unfortunately, the deep connection he feels to Sirius’ friends means even if his brother wants no meddling, he’ll be hard pressed to get Regulus to give up early. Not for Sirius’ sake–but for their intersecting family, which Sirius refuses to acknowledge exists.
Cheating out the exit, is a method of leaving the stage by which the actor remains facing the audience, so that facial expressions and reactions can be seen for the entire exit.

Summary
Regulus Black, head of the Black Family, and by extension head of an extensive, global criminal empire, faces the greatest challenge of his life: now that he’s successfully taken out the major competition, he must maintain his criminal empire… while pretending to be an otherwise normal 20-something university student.
He faces the benign threats of potential political coups, and the much more stressful issue of overseeing students as a Teaching Assistant while being younger than most of them. Likewise, he’d prefer to deal with anyone trying to compete with his empire over trying to pretend to have a normal level of knowledge in global events any day. Not to mention–he has to manage it all while sorting out a complicated web of romantic and platonic relationships and trying to make his boyfriend’s mum comfortable with the fact that he’s a criminal.
OR: Part two of a (formerly) Jegulus Modern, Muggle, Mafia AU now featuring instead RoseStarKillerChaser with background WolfStar.

Summary
After Orion and Walburga Black’s separation left Sirius and Regulus to grow up in different countries, their relationship has never been the same. That rift, however, is far from insurmountable, especially when one of them needs help. When Regulus meets James, harmless fun becomes a little less harmless as they accidentally fall in love despite communicating via translation software. Things are bound to be exciting as they drag their partners, friends, family, drama, and metaphorical luggage along for the ride. Regulus would really appreciate it if his past could leave him alone.
Or: the audience demanded and the author heard, despite deleting 20 comments about it. Now we’re working on perfectly genAI (ChatGPT) proofing this fanfic at whatever cost that comes at. Don’t pester the author about updating soon – you could end up with a poor outcome.

For Regulus, a decade-long transitory lifestyle ends up culminating in one place: his mother’s funeral. If he’d known the outcome, he might not have come. Or, he may’ve still, because the cost of not coming would have been too high to pay.
Part three of three of the epilogue to Wild World. Wild World is a pre-req. Wild World’s now finished, sort of just bonus content prequel (But I Might Die Tonight) is absolutely not required reading.

For Regulus, a decade-long transitory lifestyle ends up culminating in one place: his mother’s funeral, where he’ll see Sirius again after years of avoiding him.
For now, though, there's the matter of his remaining, batshit family to handle. Thankfully, he gets to take a very brief reprieve in Wales first.

Reading BIMDT before Wild World is enitrely unnecessary. It is Bonus Content. Wild World was meant to be stand-alone, I just had sufficient feelings to start bonus prequel. And it 100% definitely needed an epilogue which needed to be separate works, 100%. But it is finished now <333333333333
