Summary
Prime is defeated. The universe is free. But "The End" doesn't always mean "Resolution".
War is all Catra has ever known. She was nourished by it. Thrived in it. War brought her success. Meaning. And, eventually, war brought her love. But the war is over, and now she is expected to live outside of it.
But in the wake of Prime's demise rises a new threat, and a new sect of fanatics have gathered in the Whispering Woods under a new leader. And the clones are not the only unknown in the Woods. It seems as if She-Ra's unleashed magic has awakened something ancient within the planet, and uncovered a mysterious civilization hibernating beneath the ground, forgotten by the millennia.
And Catra, a battlefield herself, must choose between the new, yet unstable, happiness offered to her, or the warm comfort of a familiar war.[AKA, everyone reads Catra for filth at every opportunity. But also, crying]

Summary
Life couldn't be better for Adora Rashe. At just 21, she's accomplished more than she could ever imagine; a degree, friends, and she even owns her own bookstore. But nothing comes free, and Adora knows that better than anyone. To get where she is today, Adora had to struggle and make sacrifices. But she never dwells on the past. That is, until it comes and bites her right where it hurts. Ghosts from the past all of the sudden re-enter Adora's life in the worst way possible. Now she struggles to keep her store and her new life, while trying to atone for mistakes made a lifetime ago.
Catra Weaver doesn't need anyone or anything. Never has, never will. Working as a thug for her foster mother in her multi-million contracting company is just a stepping stone to the rest of her life; when she can finally leave this dusty town and all its painful memories behind. When Catra is sent to scare the owner of a bookstore in a location her foster mother has been after for years, Catra is both horrified and intrigued to find her long lost friend.
The two girls enter a battle of wits, centering around love, loss, pain and friendship. One thing is for certain: someone will break... And the results will change them forever.

Home, to Beatrice, is Ava’s hand in her own as she drags Beatrice through the kitschy home store four towns over and Ava’s shout of triumph when she finds a matching set of salt and pepper shakers and Ava’s waggling eyebrows when they buy the bed that she (again) calls ours.
