Summary
To be a scion of a Rogue Trader dynasty is to be raised and educated among the highest piers of Imperial Society. They are educated by some of the finest minds in the galaxy, living lives of luxury that most could barely even begin to comprehend in their most decadent dreams. They are to be the envious few at the top in the most rigid and opressive regimes in the galaxy.
They were not orphans raised in Cadia's Schola Progenium. They were not soldiers who served on the frontlines under the personal command of a Commissar. They were most certainly not hated and reviled witches, marked with cursed powers of the Warp.
Velia, was all of these things. And now, by the default of random circumstance, she was also the new Rogue Trader of the Von Valancious Dynasty. Now she has to deal with the fallout from a massive coupe attempt, traitors at every turn, a missing Inquisitorial agent, and the political minefield of suddenly being thrust into one of the most powerful positions in the Imperium. Oh also her ship needs a new Navigator, and Enginseer Prime. Did she mention the voices in her head?
Velia didn't know who's cosmic joke this all was, but there had better be one karking good punching line at the end of all this.

Summary
It was a matter of a line and where to draw it; for the line between Light and Dark was so very thin. The Guardian, her ghost, his cracked shell and her shaking hands were all that stood between them. Post Forsaken to current season with flashbacks as far back as D1. An analysis exploring my Guardian, the characters of Destiny, and the story so far. Re-edited

Summary
"Too many secrets can poison a well."
"What?"
"Something my mother used to say."
"Our mothers were very different."Setting up an Inquisition would be twice as easy if the Herald of Andraste would let someone, anyone, refer to her that way. But Hestia Trevelyan is a rebel mage first, a sister second, and prophet a distant third. If she's going to save the world as they know it, she'll first have to learn to trust the ones around her. And it's been a long long time since Hestia has trusted a templar.
Cullen wants two things, a new life away from his past and for the Inquisition to succeed. Those are already difficult tasks without The Herald of Andraste getting in his face, reminding him of all the mistakes he'd made. Hestia Trevelyan is a good liar and even better rebel, and Cullen wishes she would give him a break, or at least a chance to get her out of his mind.
The world may be ending, but the story is just beginning. They'll have to find a way to work together, or die trying
