Vi is still thinking of the navy-haired piece of absolute perfection that was just dancing on the screen a moment ago. Caitlyn. Vi’s mind is just stuck on her, and the second she tries to think of anything else, her thoughts snap back like a rubber band. Caitlyn. The posh one. Navy-haired Caitlyn. Caitlyn with the gorgeous face and the gap between her front teeth.
“The posh one… I’m gonna marry her,” Vi suddenly says. There’s no warning. She doesn’t even know where the thought comes from. One minute, she’s wondering if Caitlyn likes women, the next she’s yelling out about marriage to someone she’s never met.
She means it, though. In that moment, Vi Lanes realizes she’ll do anything to meet her.
Or, the one where it’s the 90s, Zaun has just won its independence from Piltover, the league is reeling from an explosive new soccer player, girl groups and boy bands are absolutely everywhere, and Caitlyn and Vi are Posh and Becks.

Vi, a talented jazz pianist, owns ‘The Last Drop’ with ex-wife Sarah Fortune—a once-glorious live-music burlesque club fallen into hard times since the death of Vi’s father, the original owner. Dancers with too much ego, a strained ex-marriage gluing the place together, and revenue that seems to disappear into thin air; the club is on the brink of financial ruin. One night, a navy-haired, runaway ballerina witnesses the show from the back of the room, and yearns for the burlesque stage. Caitlyn resolves to hire herself as a waitress, and refuses to take no for an answer. Vi finds her frustration toward the stubborn dancer molds into something far hotter, despite her best efforts.
And when Caitlyn laid eyes on Vi, she was doomed from the start—because that attraction could crack open secrets of her past that should really stay hidden.

“Violet, your people need you. I need you” Caitlyn begged.
Vi looked down at her hands, trembling “I’m sorry, but I’m not your Violet. Not the one you want. Not the one you need. My people and you, are better off without me” She swallowed hard “I’m nothing but a monster”
“That’s not true” Caitlyn said, reaching for her again.
Vi pulled away “I killed my sister. I killed my parents. I destroyed everyone I ever loved. And hell, if my father were still alive, maybe your mother would be too.”
“Don’t do this,” Caitlyn said, her voice sharp now “Don’t leave me again.”
Or: Captured by the Noxian Empire and reduced to a slave, Vi is finally freed from her shackles, only to find herself empty.
She remembers nothing. Not her name. Not her past. Not even the face of the woman who once was the love of her life.
The only thing she remembers is the monster who destroyed her family. And she will not rest until she gets her revenge. With fire and blood.
The problem is… some monsters are far closer than we imagine.
