Summary

But the grace period would only last for so long when Ollie begins to have second thoughts about trusting his best friend when his sister accidentally gets hurt by Prototype's own hand.
After this, Ollie finally grows the courage to break free from Prototype's sheltered facade... and starts on his own path to finally free whatever friends and family he has left. But is it even possible to do so when the very person who has hurt so many happens to reside with you in your own body?

Summary
A cave-in cuts the Player from Poppy and Giblet during another scuffle with the Prototype. Thankfully, Poppy is out of Prototype's claws.
On the other hand, the Player is now faced with having to find their way back up to their friends with the help of a very unexpected enemy-turned-ally.
Because despite everything he's done, he is still a child after all, and as much of a victim of this cruel place as everyone else. He deserves to be saved, just like Poppy, Giblet and the others. Even if they won't be fans of this decision of Player's.
Aka; a self-indulgent fic, where the player saves and adopts Ollie/Prototype, because I am feeling massively maternal towards the poor baby and I have to project this out in case someone might be needing the same. Also, you ever get a plot point idea in the middle of the story and don't know how to get there? YUP. It took me 4 chapters to get to the original point SOBBING
