    Jayce groans miserably.
    “I know, I’m working on it,” he says. “I just want him to be comfortable. There’s been a lot of bad shit in our past. If I can show him that things can change here, I will.”

    Cait looks at him fondly. “That’s a very noble goal, Jayce.”

    Jayce really, really wishes he could agree that any of his Viktor-related goals are noble. From where he sits, they’re all varying degrees of selfish, licentious, unrealistic, and horny.
