    Izuku clenched his fingers in the hem of his shirt nervously, before looking shyly up at Katsuki. “Well, with my pre-heat there’s more people who… want to… you know, and maybe if you scented me they would back off?”
    Alarms were ringing in Katsuki’s head. His mouth felt dry.
    “Shitty nerd, you’ve fought villains who would make these people run crying, and you can’t tell them you don’t want to fuck them?”
    “Fighting villains is different from social anxiety, Kacchan!”

    Or: The five times Izuku hinted he wants Katsuki to spend his next heat with him, and the one time Katsuki took the hint.

    Katsuki and Izuku teeter the dangerous line between friends and lovers. Their lives as of late have been filled with late night hook ups and desperate attempts to keep it strictly noncommital. Katsuki Bakugo doesn't do the "morning after" routine, and he definitely doesn't do domesticity. He has a rank to climb. But after a blowout fight leaves them estranged for two weeks, a single misunderstanding short-circuits his brain.
