Summary
In the 1850s, when monsters and humans coexisted and the land was divided by countries and nations, one thing stood out. And apparently, it was you.
A slave, who spent her whole life working in the mansion of Mt. Ebott. You were a kind and well-mannered woman, as the scars trickling up your body could be proof of your discipline. You knew to speak little of yourself, you knew never to disobey the orders the head maids gave you, and always to know your place. Almost as if they treated you no different than a dog. So to speak, it was your life, and the reason why the head maids kept you alive. But little did you know you'd become the interest of the Lords that would arrive once a century.
The Lords you- the maids cared the mansion for. Fighting battles and travelling from one land to another consistently, they needed a place to rest, therefore the purpose of the mansion resting on Mt. Ebott. And since these maids were more than ecstatic for the upcoming arrival of these lords, you were wise to avoid them. Sorta.
Who knew dressing and acting differently would only attract unwanted attention? And they sure had a bone to pick with you.

How would you know? Life was always shitty, if it were to change it would be for the worst, the absolute worst. Getting jobs that give almost to no pay, college being a bitch, Bullies being almost everywhere, and practically having no one to call friend. You thought it couldn't get any worse, but of course it did.
After working at Sinclair's Restaurant, you happily left ready to sleep. Until a mysterious purple glint reflected down the alley wall, drawing curiosity from you. Purple huh?
Turning the corner, you knew the dangers lurking around these alleyways at night. It could have been a junkie, ready to pounce at you or just an alcoholic withering away in the far corner, but instead you saw a fucking..Halloween...decoration? Are those clothes?A purple jacket, dark violet pants, and a necklace reflecting some of the flickering lights. But what stood out to you was that the decoration looked hurt, and you were unsure if it was just a trick of the light or if it was breathing. A costume, you presume?
You considered helping the guy, possibly treating him. Your apartment was just after all 2 minutes away using the shortcut. After battling your choices, your kindness won.

What he and the other monsters find is not what anyone had ever expected, though it did make sense why the latest human to fall underground hadn’t been as scared of a bunch of monsters trying to eat her as she should have been.
