Summary
When Sunny trips down the stairs and spirals to the floor, he thinks he's dead. But instead of hitting the ground and crumbling from gravity, he passes right through the wood, right through his own world, and wakes up in a new one, in his 13-year-old body.
After seeing enough witches in hats, wizards with wands, and all-too-familiar faces, he falls to one horrible conclusion: he isn't dead after all. Instead, it seemed that whatever happened to him sent him straight into the magical world of Harry Potter, Mari’s favorite fictional story.
Sunny only has four goals. Everything else was secondary and unnecessary.
He had to stop Pettigrew, protect Harry, stay secret, and above all: go home.
…with how things were going so far, he might only be able to do one of them.

Harry was used to having odd school years. He truly was. But this time things were getting odder much faster than usual. For one, Sirius Black was out to kill him. Two, he spelled Marge into a balloon in the summer. And three, Hogwarts gained a very quaint new student who seemed to be terrified of him.
One normal year. That’s all he could ever ask for. But Harry never got the things he wanted now, did he?

Summary
His little girl was a curious one. Very curious, too curious at times– at just six years old the rascal somehow managed to unlock the closet door that stood beside the master bedroom, the closet she knew she wasn’t meant to go near, the closet she saw as challenge instead of boundary.
Sunny had forgotten a spare key some rainy Tuesday evening, the tiniest lapse in memory (ironic, really) that somehow led to her fingers gliding down the violin strings, not pressing down just yet, unaware of how deeply a note could cut, a smile brighter than the sun growing and growing on her face. A smile he wasn’t there to see but knew very well occurred.
…the violin.
‘The’.
Maybe that was why he gave it to her when she asked, all smiles and hope and childish innocence. Because it was the violin. Not his. Never his, not really, not anymore.
“A-are... are you sure you want it?”
“Yes! More than anything in the world!”
“...I’ll teach you, then,” he said, because she should never miss a 10AM cartoon.

Summary
Sunny’s plan to introduce Harry to “Hector” goes very differently than intended when, upon telling Ron he wanted Harry to go to Hogsmeade with him, Ron understood that he wanted Harry 'to go to Hogsmeade with him' and takes on the mantle of wingman without second thought.
He gave Sunny exactly two pats on the shoulder and a thumbs up, promising he’d pull some strings, make some arrangements, the likes. Sunny, of course, had no damn idea what the fuck was up with his wording, but as long as Harry was there to meet dog-Sirius it was fine so he didn’t think much of it.
Didn’t think much of it, until Hermione and Ron left him by himself in Honeydukes right when Harry arrived.
Didn’t think much of it, until Harry bought him a bouquet of chocolate flowers. And then another box of chocolates. And then another jar of heart-shaped cotton candy.
It took an embarrassing amount of time for it to click.
Sunny somehow got himself an actual ‘Hogsmeade Weekend date’. With Harry.

Summary
Harry foolishly expected his retirement at the ripe age of 17 to be calm. Perhaps a few vacations to the beach, travel the world, see new things now that death wasn’t knocking on his door every other year.
A mistake with a Portkey travel proved this illusion wrong very, very quickly.
Suddenly he was trapped inside a house whose magical wards didn't allow him to leave on his own, with a strange mute(?) boy who was convinced he wasn’t real, and, oh, to make matters worse, he somehow lost his wand in the trip. He was also getting the oddest dreams of a colourful world with a monochrome child, and as strange as that was, it hardly made it to the top ten of his list of concerns.
All in all, this was too bizarre to be a fluke. Experience told him he must’ve been sent here for a reason. Now all he had to do was figure out what that was.
Meanwhile, Sunny's half-there conscience had no idea why, out all possible hallucinations to have while awake to such a painfully detailed degree, his brain landed on Harry freaking Potter. And no, Harry, he didn't know how to "turn off the wards" of his house, whatever that was supposed to mean. Just let him go back to sleep!

Summary
Mari did not kill herself.
Sunny says it out loud in a hospital room with one eye bandaged and his voice breaking for the first time in four years.
The truth does not heal anyone.
It ruins Hero’s memories. It turns Aubrey’s grief inside out. It makes Kel look at his best friend and see a stranger. And Basil—Basil already knew, because the lie was his idea.
Sunny took Mari from them by accident.
Basil took the truth on purpose.
But the more they learn, the harder it becomes to pretend Sunny has not been punished enough. His mother is moving him away. His father is gone. His home is not safe. And Mari’s little brother, silent and half-blind and drowning in guilt, may not have anyone left unless the people he hurt choose to reach for him anyway.
