    Summary

In my original conception of The End of This Day's Business, I intended to narrate in full how Garak and Parmak's relationship emerged, taking into account the vagaries of post-war Cardassian politics, the not-so-small matter of an interrogation, the immutable fact of Enabran Tain, the difficulty of one of them living in Paris, and various other complications, including a beautiful human-shaped one.

I've ended up writing a few pieces in this space, and I've collected them here. I hope you enjoy.

    Summary

A historical fiction series based on Attila and the infamous Huns that conquered the ancient world. Xena, a Thracian military leader, indoctrinates herself into Hunnic culture and becomes Attila's Commander in Chief. Xena kidnaps an Athenian poet and teacher named Gabrielle and takes her back to her tribe in the Hun heartland. Gabrielle learns to assimilate with the Huns when she realizes returning to Athens is no longer feasible.

Gabrielle gradually builds trust with Attila's family and the Commander's daughter, Anastasia, while developing feelings for the hardened Commander. As the years pass by, Gabrielle elevates herself from slave to scribe, then later as consul of the Roman Empire and finally Governor of the Hun Empire. While developing a more romantic relationship with the Commander, she advises all three of Attila's sons and Anastasia in political warfare.

Xena's relationship with Gabrielle grows over thirty years and allows her heart to soften. Xena reigns as Commander for nearly four decades with the help of her partner, Gabrielle, to guide her through the trials and tribulations of their deepening relationship and their family.
