Summary
He doesn’t see Robert at first, just sees the trailer against the barn wall, looks around expecting to find him walking out from behind the wreckage. But, of course that’s not the way his life ever goes. Think of the worst case scenario and it will appear. Lo and behold, he spots a sliver of Robert’s overalls between the trailer and the wall. He’s running and pulling out his phone, trying to dial 999 while making it to Robert’s side at breakneck speed.
Speculation fic based on the farm accident spoilers.

Summary
“Don’t move,” John commands, voice muffled through the door as he places his thumb threateningly on the trigger. “Do you hear that?”
Robert stills. At first, the only sound he can hear is his own heartbeat drumming through his skull, but then he catches a soft beeping noise. He turns to the backseat, spotting a haphazardly crafted device with a flashing red light.
His chest constricts in recognition.
New Year’s Eve goes differently.

Summary
Robert has taken to moving around the village like a ghost who’s afraid of taking up too much space as he haunts. Given the spectacle he’d been making of himself even as recently as a couple of weeks ago, it’s a concerning U-turn.
Robert isn't as okay as he seems in summer 2025.
Aaron is determined to get to the bottom of why that is.Bookmarked by BreakingAmish

They're finally together again and they're supposed to be better but maybe they're not, maybe he's not. Because Robert is still selfish, still insecure, still self destructing, still drinking.

Summary
Aaron will say it later, and no one will believe him, but he knew then, when he saw Mack, that something was terribly, terribly wrong.
“It’s Robert, isn’t it?” Aaron managed, a wobble to his voice he couldn’t control as he spoke.
“Yeah, mate,” Mackenzie’s voice was soft, and sympathetic, in that way everyone’s voice tended to get when they were about to deliver bad news, and Aaron hated it. “It’s Robert.”
