Arthur’s head snaps up. For a moment, he’s clearly uncomfortable, then his expression clears and he squares his shoulders. “As you wish. You have your pick of any one of my men.”
“Him.” Annis’ eyes do not leave Arthur’s. “At noon tomorrow, your servant will fight on behalf of Camelot.”

Arthur needed a court sorcerer. There was only one slight problem… All magic users had been executed in these lands for the last few decades and were still in hiding. So he decided to solve this dilemma the only way he could think of:
With a grand tournament to lure out the strongest sorcerers in his lands!
What could possibly go wrong? No, scratch that. A lot could go wrong. But how else could he find a powerful court sorcerer, if his only magical ally barely had enough magic to make his chambers clean themselves? … Right?
