Here's a peek behind the closed doors of the humans and elves that shape the future of Xadia and the Pentarchy; a look into the moments many of them would perhaps pretend never happened.

A collection of oneshots to expand on moments in the world of my Embers of Loss Dragon Prince AU as I build out the story and relationships. I'm using a prompt generator to give me ideas on who/what to write about specifically, but feel free to give me prompts of your own for me to expand on!
Some of these stories may not fully follow my main story as it unfolds, but would still give an idea of mentalities and personalities. Some of them may also be behind-the-scenes or between/before-chapter moments that I don't know how to fit into the story.

Summary
Shoto’s whines echo in Katsuki’s ears, and he tenses. It’s a struggle at this point to keep his hands clenched at his side, to not jump up and take the offending lips on his own and grab the reddened face with his hands. But he’s taken the nerd’s bet, and he wouldn’t lose to him. Even if, right now, the pros may outweigh the cons.
Or: Bakugou takes a bet against his boyfriend(s), but faced with their relentless teasing, even he can't win this one.

The future of Xadia and the Pentarchy is yet to be determined. As major players age into their roles, or are knocked off the board on which they play, what unfolds proves to be a dramatic show.
Familiar alliances will break and reform. Childhood friends turned enemies may prove those titles to be much more complex. And questions on the true strength and fragility or love and life arise in even the strongest believers.
As divisions show themselves, I ask you:

Summary
Simon glares viciously at the poor excuse of a knot. It’s not the boot’s fault, he knows that. He’s glaring because he has no other option than the one currently at his disposal, and it’s an option he despises with every piece of his wretched heart. But the sun is climbing higher and he needs to get outside to check on the garden. He grits his teeth and forces the words out.
“Can you…help me with something?”

Summary
It wasn’t a true peace agreement, but it was a ceasefire. An agreement to keep to their own for a period of seven years.
But to ensure the temporary peace, to ensure that neither side went back on their word…the Fire Nation demanded an exchange of high-value prisoners.
“Wards,” Bato reminded him. “That character means ‘ward’. ‘Ward of the crown’.”
The semantics made no difference to Hakoda. It still meant his son would spend his next seven years in the Fire Nation.
OR
A treaty between the Fire Nation and the Southern Water Tribe sends Sokka to Caldera and Azula to Wolf Cove, where they grow up as wards. Culture shock and chaos ensues, but the peace agreement holds.
Until an Agni Kai and an Avatar throw everything into jeopardy.
