Spidey slumps in his hospital bed, knees pulled to his chest so he can hide his face in them.
“In honor of our very own Webhead’s TWENTY FIRST birthday, he spent the past week formulating a.. drug… thing to temporarily slow the roll of his radioactive alcohol tolerance. And since he didn’t tell anyone about it,” Wade continues as all eyes turn to Spidey, who cringes despite not being able to see. “No one thought to look for him until he was caught fishing dirty spandex out of a dumpster so he could, and I quote, ‘pretend to be Spider-Man.’”

"Not. Now. Wade," Spidey grits out; he has the bus stopped at the edge of a very sheer cliff.
It's not like he can go anywhere. The wheels are still spinning in the dirt, kicking up rocks and a dust storm that makes Wade very glad he didn't try to show off his tears. The suicidal bad guy bus driver is very insistent on fulfilling his Final Plan.
"Now is the perfect time!" Wade argues. "What else am I supposed to do while you save these dummies who didn't vett their tour guide? C'mon, that's NYC one-oh-one."
"They're tourists, Wade. They aren't from New York, and we're not even technically in the city," Spidey points out, quite reasonably; OK, Wade will give him that one. "And you could help me here, please."

Summary
Running into a katana-wielding maniac leaves Peter with doubts about what this superhero gig really entails. He certainly doesn't expect the way his body reacts as if on instinct to the mere presence of Deadpool or to have him on his mind at every moment of the day. Doesn’t know what to do with the fact the he finds Deadpool charming, funny and weirdly knowledgeable about wildlife. Before he realizes it, the next year of his life is spent trying to summon the courage to make the simplest of touches happen between them while hanging out on park benches. If he had some experience wooing maybe it wouldn't be so difficult, or maybe it's just that hard to win over a mercenary as notorious as Deadpool. Or Maybe he just needs to grow up.
