“One second please! Melitele, I could swear I put it here…” The man mumbles to himself, shoulder-long hair falling down over his face like a curtain. He straightens back up and flicks them away in an annoyed gesture, finally turning to Jayce who’s only able to stare, body numb as if under a spell. “Oh, a witcher! Not often one of your kind comes around, it’s a pleasure.” The man smiles softly and Jayce can’t— He just can’t tear his eyes off.
He’s been alive for a long, long time. He’s met kings, queens, countless townsfolk, succubi and sorcerers. Not once has he forgotten how to form words by merely looking into someone’s eyes.
