Summary
David’s hand found theirs, and he plucked it from where they’d had it against his chest, twined their fingers together, and presented them both to his father. A length of leather cord was slowly wrapped and knotted around their joined hands as Gabe spoke:
“Now you are bound one to the other, with a tie not easy to break. Take this time of binding, as the final vow is made to learn what you need to know – to grow in wisdom and love. That your union will be strong, and that your love will last, in this life and beyond.”
