Summary
Reader premise: You are a trainer who had faced Kabu years ago when you took on the Gym Challenge. You worked your way through the league, and lost to Champion Leon. You were completely devastated. But, at the comfort and urging of Kabu, who had supported you the entire way, you decided to travel to other regions to get stronger and take on different pokemon leagues. And on your travels, you kept in touch with Motostoke's Gym Leader, as you had struck up a bit of a friendship with him after your battle (which he almost won, but you held out and won).
Now, years later, you're back in Galar for a bit of a break.
