steve's still getting used to the whole 'changeling who's lived his whole life thinking he was human only to find out he was fae when a weird demon dog tried to eat him' thing. eddie munson, local witch, is definitely helping. he helps even more when steve realises his father's locked office seems specifically designed to keep fae out. but his parents don't know about him, do they?

steve is a changeling, and has no idea until a fight with a demodog causes his powers to bloom early. so now, on top of dealing with upside down bullshit, a freshly failed relationship, and a concussion from billy fucking hargrove, he has to deal with his own freshly burgeoning powers and all the identity crises that entails. and for some reason, eddie munson has decided this is HIS business.

Summary
Thunder rumbles constantly in the distance by the time Eddie settles himself back in his room, plopping down at his desk and picking up a pencil to draw. He sketches aimlessly, thinking ruefully about Chrissy's absurd suggestion.
𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘣𝘰𝘺𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥. 𝘍𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦.
In this small town, full of even smaller minds? He's more likely to meet a creature from the Monster Manual.
Speaking of, Eddie looks down to where he's scribbled a few very rough outlines of a sprite in various poses. He must have unconsciously drawn the fae creature because of all of his latest campaign planning. These tree dwelling spellcasters were going to play a big role in his upcoming arc.
Eddie slowly fills in the details of the creature's face, giving it the typical sharp, handsome elven features and – Eddie's own personal weakness – voluminous perfect hair. He smiles to himself as he works, making up more backstory as he draws in the character's fancy clothing and surroundings. This guy would be a prince, of course, living in the largest hardwood in the forest, full of all these little rooms with carved furniture and rugs of the finest pine needles.
Or, Eddie meets his dream fae who makes all his wishes come true. Literally.
