Summary
“Your heat is coming up soon.”
It’s impossible to miss that his cycle is approaching.
“Sure is.”
He spent his last heat with Lúcio, who scheduled his time in town specifically to allow for it. Heats with clients are the best he’s ever had— they dote on him, and take care of him. This time, he hasn’t made any specific preparations.
This time, he’s been waiting on Gabriel.
“I want to spend it with you.”
It’s not a surprise, but Jesse smiles against the sheets and stretches languidly.
“Yeah,” Jesse breathes, shivering. “Yeah, I— I’d like that.”
Spending an omegas heat with them is a luxury even in the kind of arrangements they have— it’s expensive. They only come twice a year. Some omegas in the lifestyle will start bidding wars, selling their heat off to the alpha with the deepest pockets. Jesse doesn’t blame them, but it also isn’t necessary for him. Gabriel’s pockets are deep enough without competition.
He’s quiet, but Jesse can feel the tension in him.
“Not just me,” Gabriel says. “Me and my mate. We’d both like to spend your heat with you.”
For several long moments, he forgets how to speak.
“Your mate wants to do what?”

Summary
The Blood Apron welcome packet had come in the mail the previous week, full of information about different tiers of service— client options, and flexible schedules, along with a separate envelope tucked in behind it all. Expensive stationary, vivid red.
Meet Jesse, your pre-selected, BA certified donor!
There was a photo of the donor Gabriel had selected, along with basic information about him. Name, age, blood type, a handful of mostly useless details slotted into the blanks. Jesse likes horses, good whiskey, and good company!
All in all it fell somewhere between a dating profile, a pet adoption listing, and the descriptions waiters gave humans about wines at fancy restaurants.

Summary
Hanzo is looking down from above as always, crouched in the shadows on the edge of a rooftop. He split off from the rest of the team as soon as the dropship landed, slinking into position— it’s not anything unusual that he doesn’t have a visual on them yet. He’s got a view of the building they’re advancing towards, ready to pick off any surprise opposition that might come out to meet them, or pursue them when they leave. It’s where he’s supposed to be, where he’ll do the most good.
Hanzo flexes his jaw, and runs a palm over his throat. The skin there is damp, as though he’s been sweating even though it’s freezing outside, and he frowns and rubs absently at his mate marks.
At the imprints of Jesse’s teeth, tattooed like a brand. His mark isn’t a single bite like most alphas or omegas wear— sunk neatly over their glands in a circle, the dynamic equivalent of a wedding ring. Neither is Jesse’s.
When Hanzo finally got his teeth into Jesse he savaged him and was savaged in kind. He can still feel it when he closes his eyes, the euphoric sting of Jesse’s bite, the way the mate bond shivered into place.
High waters held back for ages, flooding over them both, rushing to fill every space in him.

Summary
Eren bites his lip, cheeks a bit pink— he’ll blame it on the alcohol if Levi calls him out, but they both know better— and lets Erwin guide his hands. The cue slides through them, hitting the cue ball and sending it rolling across the table. There are drunken cheers from somewhere off to the left, but Eren isn’t paying attention. He’s turning into Erwin, eyes almost closed, breathing in deep.
It’s obvious to anyone looking closely enough. Eren has never been subtle.
Levi isn’t the only one watching them with no interest in who wins or loses the game. Mike leans against the wall across the room, smirking as Erwin pulls back from Eren. Slowly, palms lingering on his forearms a moment too long, still in Eren’s space. Eren flusters and goes to line up his next shot, circling the table to put distance between himself and Erwin, who’s watching with shameless appreciation.
When Mike notices he’s been caught staring he grins wider, rolling his eyes in faux exasperation, and Levi snorts into his beer.
Eren has been doing this dance with the two of them for a while now; one step forward, two steps back. It was cute at first— endearing. Adorable.
Now Levi just wants to shake him.
