Summary
One day, everything changes. No more daily lunches, no more banter about literature. Now its just quiet pauses and discussing which system to try next.
Or, a canon divergence from when Julian's genetic status is discovered and this time Starfleet is not so forgiving.

Summary
Just small pieces, not really romantic just general interaction. I will write romance when I get better at writing these characters. Also, the title is from Garak's quote "The truth is usually just an excuse for a lack of imagination." implying that this fic is the truth (as it is lack of imagination, so no lies). Hopefully some people picked up on that other than me.

"Better?"
“I’d be a lot better if I didn’t get walloped.” Dan grouses, "None of this would have happened if we just finished that little thing we started before we got to the train station.” Dan says loftily.
There’s a mischievous hint of a smile dancing on Hunch’s lips as he continues adjusting the meat crown, making sure it’s secured.
“Really now, it would have saved you from yelling out the craziest lie possible?”
Fucks grins back, enjoying the tête-à-tête. “Can’t blame me, I had sex on the brain, given the circumstances.”

Sequel to Suckerpunch. Dan and Hunch continue their 'conversation' in Hunch's office.

Summary
He’d worried over that first dinner, weeks ago, if it would be strange. Not for him—his hands pressed against his thighs to keep from touching her, his smile tempered to keep from scaring her—but if she wouldn’t feel the same, want the same, love the same. If she’d see in his face the stranger she’d originally thought, or if he’d become himself again in her eyes—her Doctor.
