Summary
Avery is not going to let Derek die for being a self-sacrificial idiot. He knows there's a way to defeat the King in Yellow without sacrificing either of them. When he learns Derek is in a coma, he struggles to find a way to free him- leading to a ritual that will put both of them in the virtual world.
Will they be able to defeat the King in Yellow without either of them dying? Will they ever admit their growing fondness for each other? Will these two ever see the Earth's sun ever again?
All Avery knows is that when you come upon the crossroads, whether physically or mentally, you have to keep moving forward.
