She had fallen asleep about an hour ago now, her expression peaceful and relaxed, similar to her demeanour from the moment she got on the bus. Now though, there was a small frown present on her brow, a small line carving its way between them. Her mouth had down turned a bit, and she had curled up against him in a way that almost seemed as if she was protecting herself, trying to make herself smaller. There were a couple of times where she had even whimpered, the sound reminiscent of Henry at the start of a nightmare…just before he would wake up screaming.
If Ted had been worried before, he was definitely worried now. What exactly had happened to her last night?”
