"I can't do it," she whispered as a tear slid down her cheek.
Ekko tilted his head and his breath hitched as she closed the distance between them and dropped to her knees. His eyes widened with horror as she delicately placed the blood-stained pistol on his lap, and the puzzle pieces fell into place. His heart sank as he realized why she was there and he braced himself for the next words that he knew would come out of her mouth.
"I can't do it, but I know you can," she murmured, releasing her grip on the gun and fully surrendering herself to him.
OR Jinx begs Ekko to kill her.

Summary

Jayce hardly sleeps these days, too fearful of not being there when Viktor awakes from his coma. But when he manages a wink or two, he’s haunted. His rest is fitful and not even restorative. He’s forcing himself to function through his exhaustion but it’s getting harder every day that Viktor remains unresponsive. Even Mel noticed his exhaustion when she visited, and she chided him for it. He didn’t know how to tell her his fears. That Viktor might awaken and be confused and frightened and Jayce won’t be there to comfort him. To let him know that he’s safe. Jayce can’t stand that idea. He needs to be there; he needs to be the first thing Viktor sees when he awakens.
For he will wake up.
He has to…Jayce keeps vigil over Viktor's metamorphosis, but can't help but take some liberties.
