Bill Cipher is the Theraprism's least cooperative patient; he fails to take activities seriously, he's been rude (and violent) to other residents and staff alike, and he point-blank refuses to delve into talking about his past. He's in maximum security for a reason, and he's got no hope of getting out any time soon.

“Right, but aren’t angels usually up in heaven?”
“Yes, usually, but I’m your guardian angel,” Lucifer says, nodding and standing, the bounds around his hands and body falling away like water. Alastor watches in awe as it happens, shoulders stiffening in slight alarm, but Lucifer simply beams and offers his hand. “Pleased to meet you.”
“Charmed,” Alastor says as he takes the offered hand, shakes it, then pointedly wipes his hand on the front of his suit, much to this angel’s consternation.
Or: Alastor attempts to murder the local coffeehouse's barista, but accidentally invites his guardian angel into his life instead.

"She could feel the stares of a hundred people, all of them glaring, jeering, yelling at her. "Imposter!" they said, voices filled with a hatred she couldn't understand. "How dare you come here? Disgusting! Horrible!"
Cara didn't know what was going on. All she had done was step foot into this city looking for answers, but all she had received was more questions. The shouts of the crowd closing in on her were too loud, everything was too overwhelming, she couldn't handle this, she wanted out.
And then she saw the deadly tip of a knight's sword pointing straight towards her heart, and Cara panicked, because she knew then and there that these people intended to kill her. No one was going to come to her rescue. So she ran."

Corporal Makayla Sully believed she was the last of her family. Her parents were long gone, her brother Tom was killed for his wallet, and his twin Jake abandoned her in exchange for the sunny paradise Pandora. Kayla is informed of Jake's passing and so she decides to take a job opportunity with General Frances Ardmore. She hitches a ride to Pandora with the intent of recovering her brother's remains, twenty years since the last time she's seen him. Instead of a box of bones or ash, however, she's given something she thought she lost a long time ago.
