    Summary

Mikey takes the rest of the eggs out of the bowl that sits beside the stove. The only ones they have left. And he pitches his arm back and drives them into the wall with the rest of the mess.

A bit of shell goes bouncing off Leo’s shoulder and all three pause to look up.

Mikey has found his tears again. They’re wet and hot and streaming down the sides of his face in thick rivulets, along with the snot that’s smeared across his top lip, and the way each desperate breath comes ripped between his teeth.

“Just. Stop,” he says between a sob. It shakes him and he throws another egg. It hits the wall with almost perfect aim. “I can’t take this anymore,” he tells them. More tears bleed from him, and another egg goes whooshing through the air. This one doesn’t make it as far as the wall, falling short and cracking open against the floor beside Raphael’s feet.

“Pl– please,” he hiccups. Each breath seems harder and harder. Like an egg, he feels cracked apart. He leans against the counter, the remaining eggs in his grasp slip from his hands and land in sticky puddles by his feet. He slumps downwards, landing heavy against the floor. “I can’t—” he sucks in a breath that doesn’t come. “Oh god, I can’t—”

    Summary

It was cold. Bone chillingly cold. Mikey wanted someone to reach out and hold him.
He didn’t deserve to be held.
    What?
Finally, Mikey could breathe. He craved the sweet relief of oxygen coursing through his veins.
But the breathing was too fast. It was too fast and Mikey couldn’t stop it and- it didn’t sound like him. He didn’t sound like Mikey.
    He didn’t feel like Mikey.
    He felt fear.
    He heard nothing.
    He smelled copper.
    Heck, he tasted copper.
And he wished he didn’t see.
But he did. And he saw the Kraang. Worse, the Kraang saw him. It’s eyes could shoot straight through Mikey’s skull with how intently it was staring.
    Wait, it wasn’t just staring.
    It was targeting.
And Mikey was hit with a tidal wave of fear and loss and horror and regret and
    relief?
OR Mikey’s always been one to shoulder his brother’s pain. What happens when the family therapist begins to experience mystic empathy? New powers plus old habits die hard.
