He pulled at a few strands of greying brown. "I just can't feel clean, no matter how many times I wash." He looked at Daisy, a soft look in his eyes. He offered the scissors to her. "Cut my hair?"

A continuation of the story after the events of Project Hail Mary and Iron lung. I try to be as story (and fact) accurate as I can be for the nerds out there. I see you, you're welcomed here (and everybody else). I heavily rely on PHM book with some details from the movie.
TL;DR Grace is panicking because Simon is hot, but make it slow burn and cosmic horror. >:D

“What…uh…you’re in my office?” Jon breathes in and tries to send the memo to the rest of his body that she’s no longer technically a hunter, and he should really let go of the corkscrew before he makes a mess of things, but it's wooden handle bites into his trembling grip all the same.
“Couldn’t sleep.”
“So you…came to me?”

Martin opens his mouth, presumably to ask a follow up question, when the clock strikes 6 o’clock and Jon grabs his briefcase as he begins to walk out of the Archives. Just as he’s about to climb the steps, he sees Sonja out of the corner of his eye and panics. She knows about him and Daisy, exactly why they’re married, and always greets him with a phrase that’s funny in every moment but this one. He tries to let her know with his eyes, but he can already see her lips starting to form the words, right where all of his assistants can hear. “So, Jon, how’s the wife doing?”
