It makes your eyes flick closed. You can feel the soft ever-elusive memories of your previous life poke at the edges of your consciousness. It’s almost cradling you-

    You hear a snick of something metallic and you feel your body dropping and then it’s just odd swimming darkness of what your body passes as sleep, but is likely death begging to take you, in truth. And then for the first time in a hundred and fourty odd years- there’s nothing.
