Summary
Yarine is a Phantom, a shadeswimmer, one of the very few humans allowed into the Palace at the center of the Manifold of Worlds. Trained as a thief, saboteur and assassin and honed into a weapon since she was a child; she should be grateful, for her education and the gifts bestowed on her. So why is she so restless, then? Why can't she forget the family she was taken away from, or the slum where she was born? And is it true what the rebels of the Divergence say, that there might be a better path?
