    “I want you to leave.”

    Wei Ying stared. He didn't understand the sentence at first. His mind snagged on it, unable—or unwilling—to make it mean what it clearly meant.

    “What?”

    “Leave Cloud Recesses.”

    “You’re not serious,” Wei Ying said, a laugh bubbling up, thin and wrong. “Lan Zhan, don’t—don’t talk nonsense.”

    “Leave.”

    “Are you casting me out?” Wei Ying asked, disbelief lacing every syllable.

    “You hurt her,” Lan Zhan said. “You hurt me. You will leave tonight.”

     

    Or the one where Wei Ying keeps a secret to protect their daughter, Lan Zhan discovers it too late, and it fractures their marriage, their family, and a trust that took two lifetimes to rebuild.

    It starts off with a disaster, four of our favorite characters are given a second chance in the past. Can they change anything? Should they? These are questions each of them have to come up with answers on there own. The most important question is one that cant be answered in the past though. Who was it that killed them?

    They lost the sunlight in their lives and then they lost the one who bore that light into the world. Jingyi, Zizhen, Rulan and Sizhui make up a plan to fix their present by traveling back in time to the beginning and making sure that their beloved Qianbei has a much better life and doesn't die so young. Certain events are set in the Cosmos, but that doesn't mean they cannot change the outcome. They will save those who deserve to be saved and ensure the deaths of those who shouldn't have gotten to live.

    A time travel array gives the pair unexpectedly little window of opportunity to create a huge change to avoid the future they know.

    Wei Ying and Lan Zhan both rise to the challenge, when the Wen sect invaded the Jiangs.

     

    Alternatively (what this story turned into be):
    Most did not assume the worst whenever Wei Wuxian did something outlandish, because people of Lotus Pier saw him grew up and know how much he loves his sect.
