Summary
"...What you need is a friend..."
Baldur's Gate is rebuilding, the companions are drifting back to their own lives, and Astarion is left with a victory he can't stand in the sunlight to enjoy. Elowen chooses not to move on. Instead, she walks the road with him as another traveling companion, sharing tents, watch shifts, and late-night honesty.
What follows isn't a grand prophetic quest, but a quieter, stubborn one: Elowen begins chasing half-whispers and forgotten lore about why the sun burns a vampire spawn who refused ascension. Ruins, odd priests, strange books, wrong questions in the wrong temples—little threads she calls "research" and he calls "madness," even as he continues to follow her lead.
Afterdawn is the stretch of road where nothing huge seems to happen from the outside: campfires, small jobs, detours, close calls, and two people circling something they have no words for yet. Underneath, Elowen is pulling on something old and bright and dangerous.
Eventually the thread catches and by the end, the road looks nothing like it did at the start.

Summary
Eirela Rainheart was in danger of loving Astarion the moment she felt the storm inside of her reach out to him. But as an elven noble living in Baldur’s Gate, she had a duty to perform. A duty of matrimony. When Astarion confesses he feels something for her, Eirela hesitantly suggests that they should remain friends instead. But a friendship as thick as thieves falls apart when Eirela announces she’s entering an arranged marriage after they beat the Elder Brain.
Five years later, Eirela’s life as she knows it flips upside down when her marriage comes to an unexpected end, and is outcasted by her family. In her despair, Astarion finds her shattered and broken by her impending divorce. When Astarion decides to assist Eirela in finding herself again, she finds that repairing her friendship with him is easier than she thought it would be. And it was even more effortless for the feelings she’d repressed for him to resurface yet again.
Basically, a friends-to-lovers story about my storm sorcerer Tav finding herself with the help of Astarion. Chapters alternate between a five-year time skip and Acts 1-3 (plus epilogue) in the game. Mostly from my Tav's perspective with some POV from Astarion.
