It’s the cocktail for someone who has tried every drink twice and thinks to himself, ‘perhaps I liked water all along.'"

    Bond raised an eyebrow as he watched her measure the liquor into her shaker, condensation from the ice inside dripping onto the stone bar.

    "But unfortunately, this hypothetical man became an alcoholic after all that drinking," the bartender smiled, sealing her tin and shaking it over her shoulder, "so he settles for the next best thing."

    "It's not the next best thing, dear," Bond said, watching her pour the drink into a frosted glass. "It's far better."
