    On Remnant, only the lucky ones are born with an aura that grants them powers. Because of this, heroes have become commonplace. And where there are heroes, there are villains that they must fight.

    Ruby Rose is one such hero. Masquerading as a simple flower shop owner as her civilian self, when there is trouble in her home, she takes the form of Beacon's greatest (and only) hero: Crescent Rose. For years she has worked tirelessly, defeating villains and saving people on a nigh daily basis- and it's starting to wear on her. But she keeps going; both because there is no one else who will take up the mantle... and because she may or may not have accidentally fallen in love with Beacon's most dangerous (and, in her belief, most misunderstood) villain: Myrtenaster.

    No one told her being a superhero was going to be easy.

    But she never expected it to be this hard.
