The moment Elijah (jl) stood among the singers, the air in the sanctuary turned heavy. Elijah was a vision of terrifying purity— eyes clear and innocent, a face so ethereal it felt like a physical ache just to look at him.
The more Seth watched him, the more the holy water in his veins began to boil.
Seth realized he was willing to commit the ultimate sacrilege.
He would gladly turn his back on the light, even in the middle of a mass, if it meant he could finally taste the sin that Elijah represented.

JL squinted. The boy was tall, dressed in a dark uniform with silver trim that shimmered faintly in the light. His skin was pale, almost luminous, and his hair- a deep black- hung over his forehead. But it was his eyes that froze JL in place: one glowed gold like a wolf’s, the other burned crimson.
The boy tilted his head slightly, as if he knew JL was watching.
JL jerked back from the window, heart pounding. When he looked again, the courtyard was empty.
