    As Mew and Gulf were led down a hallway behind stage, Gulf could hear fans screaming excitedly, ready for the event to begin. His heart pounded in his chest. Mew pulled Gulf to a stop and briefly let go of him to go talk to a staff member. At that moment, Gulf’s vision abruptly worsened, colors blurred together, and all noise grew muffled. Gulf felt faint and blindly reached out for Mew.

    “Phi...I think I’m --” Gulf made a desperate grab at Mew’s sleeve and saw him turn around before his own legs gave out. He was falling backwards.

    “Gulf? Gulf!”

    Gulf felt arms wrap around him before he hit the ground. Everything went black.
