Summary
Confronted with the shattering reality of Merlin’s magic and immortality, Arthur finds himself entwined in a destiny spun by the gods far before he walked the lands of Albion. Unwilling and unable to see a life without Merlin, we follow Arthur’s journey towards a deeper understanding of his affections and his place in the mystery of magic. As their pull towards each other takes them on a quest for deeply hidden knowledge, Merlin and Arthur work to unite the Kingdom under a path that they don’t even know the extent of.
They come to find that such a Land of Myth and a Time of Magic expands further than either was ever taught to understand. This is a story that hopes to unwind the mysticism of The Once and Future King and Emrys. What do we really understand about the Old Religion? Specifically, what is this so-called prophecy?
Ever the golden King, Arthur refutes the notion of ever being parted from the pale iridescent beauty and serenity of Merlin. Left with no other options, Arthur is prepared to forgo everything for the man. However, he can't know if this is the key to all or the trigger of the end.
Destiny is a trick thing. Who are Merlin and Arthur to believe they are the only players?

I was staring.
I was obviously staring.
My face was bright red, and I was certain it was infecting the rest of my body.
I was really staring.
I could see her looking at me in amusement and I heard her melodic giggles at my obliviousness.
I was still staring.
Her face jumped in surprise and she quickly scanned my own appearance only to turn a shade of red (much nicer than my violent one) and give me the most adoring smile.
I was still staring.
She’s going to disappear into thin air. I really did make friends with some ancient spirit.
