Summary
“So you’re retiring from your career. Changing your life trajectory?”
What in the world are these questions? Does the defense have a theory they’d like to share with the court?..
“Something like that?” Klavier raises his eyebrows, “I’ve been prosecuting for years?..”
“Something like that,” Apollo mutters, seemingly to himself.---
In the aftermath of 2026 trials Klavier is doing fine. He just needs to be left alone for some time, and the world seems eager to oblige. All, but for Apollo Justice, who for some unfathomable reason decides to hang on.

Summary
I’ve reviewed all five of The Gavinners’ albums now, alongside several of their singles and EPs, and this is the first time since their debut single "Thirteen Hard Years For Love" (back when the legal references were an interesting lyrical choice and not a tired gimmick) that I’ve seen even a glimpse of potential from the band. "Atroquinine, My Love" is honestly a decent song, as well as proof that The Gavinners could be capable of making good music. Unfortunately, this is most likely a fluke. They’ll continue making formulaic, commercialised pop-rock that most people only listen to because the frontman is hot, because that’s where the money is. And I’ll continue to review their songs because I have rent to pay.
I can only pray that I’m wrong, but for now I can’t say "Love Without Parole" has been anything more than a disappointment.
4/10---
Apollo Justice is yet to write a single good review of The Gavinners' music, and Klavier is just about sick of him. What does he know about music anyway?
He hates Justice. The feeling is definitely mutual. And there's absolutely nothing else there.Bookmarked by Atsyee

Summary
From churning mire surfaces the limp neck of a duck in his grip, the branching antlers of a decapitated stag, an unmoving body through the lens of his binoculars. He greedily drinks it in with the pads of his callused fingers, this still-breathing hunting trophy.
Ogata stares death in the maw.
