Summary
After the age of thirteen a simple touch can mean the blossoming of a soul-mark and the beginning of an impossible to ignore relationship. Starting in the beginning of fourth year, Harry's life is about to get a lot crazier than he ever imagined. On top of the Triwizard Tournament Harry will have to tackle handling a soul-bond with the last person he ever expected to bond with.
This series will loosely follow the books, becoming more divergent as we move forward.

Summary
The one thing nobody ever told Marcus, about the long process to becoming a Death Eater, was how fucking boring it is. He's stuck guarding the abandoned Black place, but when Snape brings him a new task, he's put on a collision course with Harry Potter, who he hasn't seen in years.
Harry doesn't much like anyone, doesn't much like himself most days, which is impressive since he feels like he has no idea who he even is, but that's okay, Marcus likes him enough for the both of them.
Snape has his own motivations for putting Marcus on this job though, and when it comes to a head, Marcus and Harry will be forced to stay in an unfamiliar safe house together, indefinitely. Stuck with nothing but themselves, a house that hasn't been touched since the 1950s, their own thoughts, and their opposite positions in the war, what will two young men plucked out of a conflict learn about themselves and each other?

Brilliant story!
Possessive Marcus, harry is more cutesy than in canon, with a lot more nuanced characters.
We only see a few people and it's a little slice of life-y with plot walking alongside it.

Summary
Many things are different and many are the same as Harry begins his fifth year at Hogwarts.
Here, living with Dursleys that aren't just neglectful but outright abusive made Harry unable to withstand more than a few weeks of Trelawney's "predictions" back in his third year. Instead, he took Ancient Runes, and uncovered that he had a prodigious knack for runic magic, which opened the door to the darkest of rituals and the magic of mind and soul. A year later, Harry uncovered something horrible within himself - a parasite.
So, when Voldemort sends him dreams of corridors and doors, Harry sends him pieces of hell in return.

Fun! Very interesting family dynamic between characters, especially Severus and Harry. Other characters are interesting, and the writing is engaging and effective. Brilliant storytelling
Didn't really love the deception being done, although it was done with good intentions. The "main character is the only character not in the know" aspects were almost a bit too much for me.
The ending was sad, but meaningful. Some characters come off as too one dimensional in certain scenes, but that is the nature of human beings.
Would read again!
