Summary
Within the League of Shadows, the Demon’s Head needs no introduction. His daughter stands at his right side, beautiful in her lethality. Those deeply inducted into the order may even know of the Heir, though few enough have ever seen him. None speak of a second heir, of the boy who would have ascended to his mother’s place while the Heir took on their father’s mantle.
They were nearly one being, he and the Heir. Inseparable as a blade and its shadow. Where one went, the other was sure to follow-- soundless, prodigious, absolutely deadly.
When they turned seven, they were put through the Demon Head’s specially designed initiation. Failure would be met, as always, with death as its only atonement. The blade passed. His shadow failed.
And, as shadows so often do, he disappeared into the dark.

“Hey, I do I... Do I know you?” Danny asks, a hand coming up to brush something off Tim’s cheek.
“No,” Tim says. “We haven’t met.”
“Oh, no, I do.” Danny says, and he smiles, teeth white and sharp. “You’re that guy who rearranged my guts!”

Danny Fenton's been in GIW captivity for 4 months.
Tim Drake gets kidnapped by the GIW one Tuesday evening in May.
Considering how many of the Bats and the Birds have died and come back to life, it was only a matter of time for some people interested in the afterlife to come poking around. The detectives can't seem to uncover any information about the mysterious white vans, however.
And they keep losing the mysterious boy who seems to be the one person in Gotham to know anything at all.

Summary
When Danny went through the ghost catcher, he expected to be cured of the ghostliness that had haunted him since the accident, not to wake up on the lab floor with his parents saying he’d been overshadowed but everything’s okay now. So why does Danny Fenton cry himself to sleep to then dream of flying? Why does Phantom, the ghost who was supposedly possessing Danny, remember a life that isn’t his? Most of all, why do both the human and the ghost feel that something vital is missing, in their very soul?
Or: Trying to cure himself of his powers one month after the accident, Danny accidently splits himself but neither his ghost nor his human half realize what they've actually done.
