Summary
Long ago, Rosaria lost the war against the Northern Territories, thanks to their alliance with the displaced Motes of Water. The entire duchy was lost to powerful Tidal Waves, leaving it at the bottom of the ocean. Unknown to the rest of the world, the Phoenix called in a favor from Leviathan, saving his people by giving them the ability to live underwater.
As a child, Dion was saved from drowning, leading to a lifelong obsession with the ocean, and the mysterious savior that may or may not have been his imagination.
Joshua, prince of the long-lost Rosaria, is just as obsessed with the land and its wonders, and is just as intent on seeing Dion again. In a spur-of-the-moment decision, he asks Leviathan’s Dominant for the ability to walk on land—a request that is granted, but with a price.
They try so hard to start a nice normal relationship, but there are many obstacles in their way…
