Summary
Buck was annoyed. He and Eddie had a day off so they were lounging around the loft, as was usual when Christopher was at school and they didn’t have anything important to do. They were both reading their own books which Buck admittedly had been the one to suggest, but now he was getting antsy and he just wanted Eddie to pay attention to him.
He needed affection and he didn’t know how to get it right now. So, despite all the talks he had had with Eddie in the past about how to communicate his feelings, he returned to the old methods he knew were foolproof. The only problem now was finding something risky to do in the loft that wouldn’t actually be too dangerous.
OR
Buck doesn’t realize he’s regressing and feels like Eddie is ignoring him, so he tries to get his attention using his childhood ways.

“I think we made a mistake,” he said, words quick and clipped.
She set her quill down and scoffed. “Don’t be ridiculous, Malfoy. Everything is going perfect. Look at the potion— it’s textbook.”
He scowled, panic bubbling in his chest. “Then why does it smell like—“ he cut himself off abruptly.
“Why does it smell like what?” She frowned.
“Nothing,” he snapped. The scent continued to get stronger, wrapping around him and taunting him. Coffee, parchment, cinnamon. It was undeniably Granger.

“Are you really?” The boy asked, his tone below a whisper.
“Am I what? Your friend?” James whispered back. Sirius nodded. “Yes, you are my best friend. We’ve been friends for years now.”
Sirius furrowed his brow, then a shy smile took over his face. “I have a friend.”
James extended his hand towards Sirius, then a tiny hand held his fingers tightly. Sirius didn’t let go from that moment on.
Or, Sirius gets accidentally de-aged.
